Background

I was first elected to the Naperville City Council in 2021, and before that, served as the Board Chair for the 1,100-member Chamber of Commerce. My life story runs deep in DuPage County. I was born and raised here, from my first days in Edward Hospital through my graduation from Naperville North High School. My parents, both immigrants, moved to DuPage in 1973, and my dad was an engineer at the Amoco Research Center on Warrenville Road.

From 2007 to 2014, I had the great honor of serving as a uniformed attorney in the United States Air Force. As an Area Defense Counsel, I helped service members who found themselves “in trouble” with the military. In that role, I learned to provide a listening ear to people who are anxious or scared, to see both sides of a story, and to be a better advocate — lessons I still rely on when working with residents and families here at home.

Professional Experience

I am now a partner at the local law firm Concierge Law, by Campbell Holzhauer, where I assist local business clients and families through a groundbreaking subscription-based legal model. Practicing law here in DuPage gives me a broad understanding of the issues facing people across the county — from seniors planning the next stage of life, to entrepreneurs opening new storefronts, to families settling into our schools and neighborhoods.

I previously sat on the NCTV17 Board, the Board of Naperville Responds for Veterans, and the DuPage Children’s Museum Next Generation Board. These roles taught me firsthand how local nonprofits, small businesses, and civic institutions form the social and economic backbone of DuPage County.

Next Generation

I’m proud to help raise another generation of Holzhauer children right here in DuPage, currently spread between Naperville Central, Lincoln Junior High, and Elmwood Elementary. They have grown up working at Oswald’s Pharmacy, playing Park District soccer, acting at Kidz Kabaret, and taking voice lessons at Sing With Emily. They — like so many kids across DuPage — are shaped by volunteers, teachers, coaches, and the quiet local heroes who make our communities strong.
