FIGHT FOR OUR FUTURE
Throughout my life, Naperville has consistently ranked as the best place in America to raise a family. To be the best means we must constantly fight for our future, to renew the promise of success to another generation of Napervillians.
RISING TOGETHER
I believe that what affects one of us affects all of us. In my first four years in office, I’ve been proud to support many groups that together comprise the fabric of our community. I’ve been proud to vote for a groundbreaking development for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I’ve been proud to support Naper Pridefest. And I’ve been proud to serve as the Council liason to the Senior Task Force, supporting programs like the Silver Senior CPR program.
PROMOTING QUALITY OF LIFE
Fighting for our future means fighting for a high quality of life for our residents. As a Riverwalk Commissioner, I helped advance projects to make the Riverwalk more ADA accessible, and extend the Riverwalk south toward the Edward Hospital campus (groundbreaking soon). I’ve voted for cleaner and more financially responsible energy sourcing, the removal of lead water service lines, and for beautification projects around our city.
BOLSTERING SAFETY
The best police and fire departments in America should always have state-of-the-art training, equipment, and support. A large percentage of our public safety response calls involve supporting citizens experiencing mental health crises. I supported the expansion of specialized mental health response teams in both the police and fire departments. In my time on counsel, we’ve also overseen the successful implementation of the body-worn camera program for police, and several advanced trainings including crisis intervention training.
VALUES
If re-elected, I will stay true to the values that have served me well over the past four years.
